In the not too distant past, my daughters asked me to build them a zip line. They had played on one at a friend’s house and decided they wanted their own backyard adventure. So, I checked out the friend’s system, and I was quite concerned about safety. There was no seat, construction was poor, and it contained a good bit of, I’ll say it, cheap plastic.
Telling my girls they couldn’t have their own zip line was not an option, so designing a better one became a priority. Falling prevention was high on my list, as well as using premium materials, incorporating practical safety features, and of course, staying cost effective.
